The urban architecture of Japan had something to say. It started as a whisper. The more I listened, the louder the voice got. It was fascinating the things I heard. The streets were carefully cleaned and taken care of, while the buildings that surrounded it were forgotten. Stories of how these structures were formed and created only then to be taken advantage of then neglected.
These structures told me many tales about countlessly different people and how they went about their lives. Eventually, these tales resonated within me, and the conception of 猫麺小屋 was born.
As I worked on 猫麺小屋, I continued to hear the stories that urban Japan had to offer. Letting them change and shape the process every step of the way.
